Held another charity stream on #givingtuesday for the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary. I want to thank everyone who tuned in and donated during the stream as we played the newly re-release of Chronos: Before the Ashes.
Some early thoughts on Chronos are:
If you have ever played Remnant: From the Ashes, you will find yourself in familiar territory. This game plays close to a Dark Souls in terms of a 3rd person melee action game. There are plenty of puzzles and secrets to discover in this game. I enjoyed my time so far, and currently at the 2nd boss fight.
This game has an interesting mechanic where you age upon every death. Every 10 years you unlock a new trait, and your characters model will slowly change as well. As you age, you will lose the ability to increase your health and strength, however you will gain wisdom.
My only complaints so far is a sound glitch that didn't have all the sound effects. I could hear incoming fire balls clashing against my shield, however my sword did not have any noise on the PC. Technical issues aside, the puzzles are not clear cut and it became a bit annoying as I was often lost in what to do next. I found myself running around until I stumbled upon a small shimmer or clue that helped me move forward.
Chronos is out now, and currently on a 10% discount for $26.99.
