#DonutCounty #IndiegameReview #Gamepass

Sometimes you come across a game this is just pure joy. Donut County is a stress free gaming experience that anyone can enjoy. The premise is simple, drop all the items into the hole, and as items are devoured the hole enlarges.

The story revolves around a racoon named BK. When someone orders a donut from his donut shop, he drops a donut hole in the area using his tablet. Think of Katamari Damacy, but reversed. You start my dropping the small items in the hole, which in turn expands it. This allows you to devour larger items later in the stage.

Overall the game is short. You can complete everything in 2 hours. The story is charming as well as the graphics. This game is a perfect distraction for your afternoon. Puzzles will keep the game fresh during the play through. The first example of this has you collecting a fire pit, and using the heat to raise a hot air balloon.

Things I liked:

- The game is very charming with the art style, writing, and characters.

- Gameplay is really fun, and never frustrating.

- Gameplay twists keep the levels from being repetitive.

Things I disliked:

- Game is short, and can be beaten in 1 sitting.

- The 20ish levels are short, and takes about 2-4 minutes each.

Overall the game is short. You can complete everything in 2 hours. The story is charming as well as the graphics. This game is a perfect distraction for your afternoon. This is the perfect example of why Gamepass succeeds. While the game isn't expensive on steam at $13, you can't argue a quick download from Gamepass.
